At the Miller Foundation, we believe that even the most humble spaces can have a huge impact and sometimes, transformation begins where you least expect it. Welbourne Avenue Nursery and Preschool’s recent renovation of their eight preschool restrooms is a shining example.

Welbourne Nursery, a nonprofit organization serving the community for an incredible 98 years, has long been a cornerstone of early childhood education. This latest upgrade is just one more chapter in their enduring legacy of care, compassion, and commitment to young learners and their families.

After more than 30 years of wear and tear, the school’s facilities were ready for a refresh. With updated plumbing, sleek new fixtures, cheerful tiling, and even a kid-friendly handwashing station in the cafeteria, the results are nothing short of a mini-miracle. Clean, modern spaces do more than sparkle; they boost confidence, comfort, and the overall learning environment.

While we don’t usually wax poetic about sinks and soap dispensers, it’s hard not to smile when a toddler steps into a bright new bathroom and exclaims, “Wow! This is pretty!” For little ones tackling potty training and big kids learning hygiene independence, this renovation means more than just porcelain and tile; it’s about dignity, health, and creating an environment where everyone feels cared for.

We’re proud to support Welbourne’s mission and delighted to help bring a little extra shine to the school community. After all, a great education deserves a great everything…even the bathrooms.
